The main focus of my research is the long history of Aristotelianism, from its primeval Greek origins up to the Arabic, Hebrew, and Latin milieus. Within this tradition, I have studied in particular Avicenna (d. 1037), al-Ġazālī (d. 1111), and Albert the Great (d. ca. 1280), investigating the reception of the former two in the latter's system of thought and exploring the Aristotelian underpinnings of all three.

Since my BA studies I have been passioned about Dante Alighieri, Italy's sommo poeta. I explore his scientific and philosophical thought, as expressed not only in his admittedly philosophical Convivio, but also in the poetic forms of the Commedia.

Medieval sciences constitute a hallmark of my research. I am particularly interested in exploring the adaptation of the Aristotelian epistemological framework into Arabic-Islamic and Latin-Christian cultures, with special attention to the cases of meteorology and medicine, in dialogue with metaphysics and psychology.
